We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team, in Chatel St Denis. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture definition, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software systems as part of prototyping and industrialization projects.
Role
- Join our development team as a senior embedded software engineer and work closely with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers
- Design and review complex system architectures: hardware, firmware and software
- Implement firmware on both bare metal and real-time operating system into C/C++ code
- Perform software verification and validation testing to ensure quality and reliability
- Lead development and be a technical reference within SDATAWAY for embedded software
- Lead discussions with customers about technical and non-technical items
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in embedded software development
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
Profile
- MSc or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in embedded software engineering
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and familiar with Python
- Solid understanding of Cortex-M microcontroller architectures
- Hands-on experience with IoT systems
- Experience with Embedded Linux, device-trees, ARM processors
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
- Open-minded and able to adapt quickly to new technologies
- Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as Git and JIRA
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
- Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to supporting colleagues
