Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Finders is recruiting on behalf of her client an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their growing IT environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a holistic view of development processes, drive improvements and provide expert guidance across the full development lifecycle.

Your Role

• Write and improve shell scripts to optimize CI/CD processes
• Enable application deployments by checking and creating OpenShift scripts
• Maintain development tools (build tools, IDEs, containers, etc.)
• Support developers throughout the development cycle, ensuring best practices and documentation standards
• Tune and engineer tools such as Logs, ETL, API Management, and NoSQL databases
• Analyze and optimize application sizing
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve complex issues

Your Profile

• University degree or equivalent qualification in IT or a completed technical apprenticeship
• Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience as a DevSecOps Engineer
• Practical experience with at least one CI/CD tool (ideally Azure DevOps) and Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift), containerization, and shell scripting
• Development experience (Microsoft .NET is a plus) and knowledge of at least one of the following: Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or any API Management tool
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess system environments from a holistic perspective
• Hands-on mentality and proactive approach
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

This position is based in Basel and requires full on-site presence, five days a week.
