Your role and responsibilities
Academic Excellence & Teaching
- Teach International Baccalaureate Diploma Economics and Business Management at both Higher (HL) and Standard Level (SL).
- Team-teach classes and collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practices and develop departmental resources.
- Ensure curriculum entitlement and clear progression is achieved for every student in your care.
Assessment & Student Progress
- Regularly assess the progress of students through diverse formative and summative methods.
- Maintain accurate records and report results clearly to parents and the Humanities department.
- Maintain a genuine interest in student progress and well-being, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Operational Contribution
- Manage teaching resources efficiently to effectively support learning.
- Play an active part in the wider life of the school, contributing to the vibrant community of La Châtaigneraie.
Who we are looking for
You will thrive in this role if you possess:
- University degree in Economics and/or Business Management
- Significant experience teaching Economics and Business specifically to IB level.
- Deep knowledge of current trends and debates influencing the teaching of economics today.
- Previous experience working within an international school environment.
- Ability to work fluently in English; a good knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
- High personal standards and the drive to achieve the highest possible outcomes for all students.

- An enthusiastic approach to classroom management using a variety of creative teaching styles.
