Why this role matters
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family will make.
As Senior Admissions Officer, you are the first point of contact and trusted advisor for prospective families. You guide them through a complex, emotional and meaningful journey, from first enquiry to enrolment, while helping Ecolint meet its enrolment objectives in an increasingly competitive landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of education, service excellence and strategy. It reflects Ecolint's evolution towards a more personalised, relationship-driven and hospitality-focused admissions model, where quality of experience matters as much as efficiency.
About Ecolint
Founded in 1924, the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) is the world's first international school.
Today, we welcome 4,500 students aged 3-18, representing 130 nationalities, across three campuses in and around Geneva.
As a not-for-profit foundation, Ecolint is deeply committed to humanitarian values, inclusion and pedagogical innovation. Our mission is clear:
Educating students to be global citizens with the courage and capacity to create a just and joyful tomorrow together.
Your role & responsibilities
Managing the full enrolment journey
You take ownership of the entire admissions process, from first enquiry to enrolment and beyond.
- Guide families through the admissions journey, ensuring a smooth, professional and welcoming experience.
- Advise on campus choice, programme pathways and class placement, based on age, curriculum equivalences and availability.
- Determine provisional placements and identify potential learning or language support needs in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Proactively collect and follow up on required documentation (school reports, essays, SEN questionnaires, IEPs, specialist reports).
- Collaborate closely with Principals and senior academic staff to secure timely academic approvals.
- Manage waiting lists and placement offers in line with the Admissions Policy and capacity constraints.
Delivering an outstanding family experience
You ensure that every interaction reflects Ecolint's values of care, respect and professionalism.
- Serve as a welcoming and reassuring first point of contact for prospective families.
- Respond proactively to a high volume of enquiries across email, video calls, phone and in-person visits.
- Communicate clearly, personally and empathetically at every stage of the process.
- Handle sensitive or complex situations (limited space, learning needs, priority criteria) with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- Clearly articulate Ecolint's educational philosophy, programmes and added-value services.
Campus presence & engagement
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised campus tours that showcase Ecolint's people, pedagogy and community.
- Participate actively in Open Days, Orientation Days and other admissions-related events across all campuses.
- Maintain a visible and approachable Admissions presence on campus, helping families feel informed and confident.
Coordination, data & insight
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the Admissions database.
- Monitor enrollment trends and waiting lists, sharing insights with the Director of Admissions to support strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with relevant departments to gather accurate information and guide families effectively throughout the admissions process.

- Are fully bilingual in English and French (another language a plus).
- Are highly organised and comfortable managing a large volume of files with accuracy.
