We are on the search for a passionate, dynamic and charismatic individual to join us at YOTEL Geneva Lake as Sous Chef.

YOTEL Geneva Lake has 237 rooms where design equals comfort in every one of our smartly designed rooms. Each equipped with YOTEL’s signature SmartBed – adjustable for relaxing, working or sleeping, every element of the room is sleek and modern. The hotel also offers a 24/7 fully equipped gym for hotel guests.
Mission Control (reception) is the hub of all activity at our hotel. Use our self-service kiosks to check-in and out under a minute or guests can speak to our always on-hand crew. We will also give local neighbourhood tips, emergency supplies and toiletries, or extra keys and towels. Available and ready to help 24/7.
At the heart of YOTEL Geneva Lake will be HYGGE, a one-of-a-kind entertainment, meeting, and co-working destination developed with the leading food and beverage operators in the Lake Geneva region, Caviar House Airport Premium - Switzerland. Covering over 2,000sqm (21,500 sqft), HYGGE features a indoor and outdoor Danish-inspired restaurant, bar, and café, cutting-edge meeting facilities, and ample co-working space. HYGGE will be a destination within a destination.
Featuring contemporary Nordic architecture, the space is designed to constantly evolve to accommodate everything from intimate dinners to large entertainment events, including sporting showcases, weddings, and product launches. Ideal for both business and leisure guests, regional commuters, and neighbourhood residents, it will become the ideal place to eat, meet, work and play.
About the role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. As the right hand to our Head Chef, you'll play a vital role in leading kitchen operations, inspiring the team, and ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and creativity.
More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Assist with menu planning, inventory, and food cost control
- Step in to lead the kitchen during Head Chef’s absence
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
The skills we are looking for are:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Passion for food and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, stock management, and cost control
- Culinary qualifications or relevant experience
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills by using their outgoing personality to interact with guests, employees, and others.
