AVI Technology Deployment Expert (m/f/d)

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated AVI Technology Deployment Expert for a temporary assignment of 1 year.

Roche is seeking a skilled contractor to lead the technology deployment of Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) equipment, with a focus on the current equipment phase (design/built). The contractor will ensure the implementation aligns with the strategic goals and operational objectives of the company.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in AVI systems, including equipment performance, vision technologies, and optimization.
• Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to design and customize AVI equipment, including machine qualifications, software configuration, and vision system optimization.
• Oversee the equipment build phase, including mechanical and software integration as well as factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Lead and coordinate technical projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address progress and resolve build-phase challenges.
• Translate technical concepts into business solutions to meet project objectives.
• Develop standardized processes and robust documentation in GMP-regulated environments.

Must-Haves

• Higher education in engineering or similar education
• Min. 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in general visual inspection requirements
• Expertise in AVI equipment and vision system technologies
• Proven experience in AVI equipment deployment
• Strong leadership and project management skills, including robust documentation abilities
• Knowledge of GMP and regulated environments
• Exceptional communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English
