At bNovate Technologies, we develop innovative solutions for the rapid analysis of microbiological water quality. Our mission is to make water monitoring faster, more reliable, and more accessible, helping protect public health and the environment.
For the development of our next-generation products, we are looking for a motivated, hands-on R&D Mechatronic Engineer to design, prototype, test, and optimise the mechatronic and fluidic sub-systems of our water analysis instruments.
Mechatronic Engineer (Research and Development)
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design mechatronic and microfluidic components and assemblies
- Develop prototypes and test benches
- Participate in experimental campaigns and performance analysis
- Optimize designs to improve reliability, streamline manufacturing and reduce costs
- Collaborate closely with biology, mechanical, electronics, and system engineers as well as the production department
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, mechanics, microengineering or equivalent field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in mechatronic and/or instrumentation design and development
- Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of electronics, programming and automation skills
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC machining, laser cutting, plastic sheet forming and injection molding) and assembly methods
- Familiar with microfluidics or fluid handling systems
- Working experience in regulated environments under quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IEC 61010)
- Pragmatic hands-on approach
- Autonomous and able to work effectively within multidisciplinary R&D team
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
