Job purpose:

· Perform high quality analytics for the trading desk’s understanding of its markets’ fundamentals, past present and particularly future

· Regularly and consistently recommend profitable trading positions based on your expert view of the light ends market’s fundamentals and market pricing opportunities

· Ensure the active daily maintenance of light ends products balances (monthly granularity, historic and forecast) for all major regions and countries, presented to Litasco traders through various customized reports and Tableau dashboards

· Full balance component modelling (demand, imports, exports, production) incorporating latest price sensitivity and fundamental factors, including key market events/changes

· Create and evaluate various forward looking fundamentals scenarios, including presenting expected price equilibriums corresponding to each scenario

· Manage and organize detailed price and fundamental data, extract relevant data, and report the important implications to traders and other analysts

· Ensure each balance component's data integrity by performing regular checks as fundamentals are updated, including reconciling with various internal and external data sources

· Ensure extensive internally-generated balance data and curated fundamentals data from external sources is prepared to be stored to internal (SQL) databases on a daily basis

· Track and forecast light ends movements including by grade. Prepare regular reports and incorporate findings into reported regional balances

· Develop and maintain a variety of tools/dashboards/reports for the trading group (SQL and various external APIs including with Python scripts)

· Respond quickly and expertly to trader requests for ad-hoc fundamental oil market analysis on the light ends products markets including event analytics

· Form and communicate comprehensive insightful views on the relationships between various market prices and fundamentals. Contribute ideas to suggested desk traded positions

If you have:

• At least 5 years of oil market analysis with proven track record on oil supply and demand models
• Experience in oil and gas industry
• Extensive experience in light ends markets (including gasoline and/or naphtha) across global markets
• Analytics role in a major international Oil Company or Financial institution
• Expert oil market knowledge, analytical skills and refining knowledge
• Good understanding of common oil logistics challenges (segregation, layering, in line blending etc...) and of price setting mechanisms and derivatives markets
• Good IT skills including standard applications, operating systems, databases, Excel (VBA & Programming), SQL, Power BI and Python
• Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to translate analytics findings into Trading language
• Fluent English skills, French and Russian are a plus
