Joining a company with such a rich history means becoming a part of that history yourself. The overall conditions are great. Good salary, modern (though too small) offices, a great restaurant in Morges, remote work or the ability to work from different locations, a pension plan well above the minimum with a variety of options to choose from, ongoing training, and so on. The company is also very attentive to the needs and sensibilities of Gen Z.

1/ Management: There are at least 5 or 6 layers between the rank-and-file employee and senior management. No one dares to make a decision that falls under the purview of their immediate supervisor, so even the smallest detail takes an enormous amount of time. 2/ Distance from the field: Romande Energie is active in all sorts of areas, sponsors research at EPFL, and hosts a multitude of related events. Overhead costs (see positives) and marketing expenses are enormous. Refocusing on energy production, transmission, and supply would be no luxury. 3/ To illustrate points 1 and 2, we see that opening a position isn’t necessarily tied to a real need. The job description can therefore vary widely depending on the department that hires you. One point that initially convinced me, but which backfired: I thought I was already good at doing the splits, but unfortunately, I wasn’t a contortionist.

I recommend this company 100%! It offers a healthy, collaborative environment that I believe allows anyone to develop in a balanced way!

What works well in the company? The atmosphere and the team spirit! What's the working atmosphere like? Honestly, incredible! I've never seen anything like it before! How was the application process? Not perfect, but overall it was a very positive experience. With personalized contacts and a great sense of confidence. Where do you see room for improvement? The energy transition is bringing a lot of turbulence and change. We absolutely must anticipate this transition better and support change.

As a candidate for a position, the company is very well located and very well supervised.

Nothing that I have seen so far and I am the first to be sorry, especially for a company like this.

Ladies and Gentlemen of HR, when a candidate submits an application file to you, please respond to the applications so as not to leave people waiting, this is the least you can do, especially when the candidate's qualifications match the position. You could at least respect the work done for the application. It's unbelievable to have to remind people who are supposed to be professionals of this kind of thing.
