Job description

As the Principal Software Engineering Architect for Swiss Timing, you will require cross-function integration knowledge, strategic thinking, and superior inter-personal and communication skills.

• Responsible for the overall design and architecture of all business solutions within and around the existing landscape
• Overseeing overall design integrity as well as envisaging and enabling future state infrastructures and solutions that will support modern, intelligent services and user experiences through technological innovation
• You will work with the leadership team in addition to partnering with leaders and teams across business
• Directly responsible for driving critical systems for the company while aligning delivery to the corporate roadmap objectives and leading the intelligence wave underway in the industry for Swiss Timing
• You will regularly engage with the executive level and have a deep technical impact across the company.

Profile

• Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Vue.JS, React, Scala or Python.
  • 4+ years of technical experience with application development in containers (e.g. Kubernetes), application observability and monitoring as well as security by design practices and tools.
  • 6+ years technical engineering experience of architecture and design thinking delivering highly available, large-scale cloud services and distributed systems
  • You are visionary (open-minded) and entrepreneur (initiative)
  • You have got strong communication skills
  • You are available for travels in Switzerland and abroad (approx. 20% of the time)

Professional requirements

Preferred qualifications

• 12+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Vue.JS, React, Scala or Python.
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience with machine learning model development, release, and operations.
• Technical engineering experience in Azure environment.
• Technical engineering experience with IoT.
• Ability to navigate the company and influence and inspire peers in engineering and broad product development.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge and understanding of software architecture, design tradeoffs, and practices of mature DevSecOps culture.
• The track record of pursuing and delivering innovative insights that translate to value generation.

Languages

You are fluent in English, French and/or German knowledge would also be an advantage.
