Role Overview:

Huntsman has an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Monthey site in Switzerland in the Advanced Materials division. This position is a key interface between Commercial and Manufacturing activities (IBP), and managing Cost-to-serve, inventory, production, customer orders fulfilment are the main processes within an EHS and compliant structured approach. With a strong focus on developing associates’ key capabilities, this role is part of the Site Leadership Team of the plant, as well as EAMEI Supply Chain Leadership Team, and it entails regular interactions with other sites in Europe as well as other regions (i.e. our GBS, Global Business Services, in Krakow, Poland where a critical part of Supply Chain is working).

Role Responsibilities:

As Supply Chain Manager in Monthey, you will:

  • Lead the Material Management departments for the Monthey site in Valais / Switzerland.
  • Assure safety and compliance in warehousing, material movement, transport and cargo securing.
  • Work closely with the Site Managers as part of the Site leadership team.
  • Balance site needs and constraints with external global demand.
  • Strongly support the site for any IBP related activity.
  • Manage inventory level & inventory target management.
  • Be the main point of contact for Customer Service, Supply Network Planning and Quality teams.
  • Lead production planning-coordination at site level.
  • Oversee warehouse organization and performance.
  • Plan and handle raw material, intermediate, finish goods.
  • Manage service to production.
  • Liaise with the Distribution/Transport group.
  • Control network design optimization of the working processes.

Experience and Competencies:

We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree either in Business or Supply Chain.
  • Commercial exposure and more than 5 years’ work experience S&OP or IBP and Material Handling.
  • APICS certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Leadership skills and confirmed experience in management of teams.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills as a coordination between Business, Production and Supply Chain. Be able to interact with various teams & departments at different levels.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to delegate and create collective team mobilization.
  • High analytical skills based on data.
  • Design organization experience to deliver targets and strategy.
  • High IT literacy and high proficiency in major IT tools (SAP; Excel, Access).
  • Fluency in French & English (oral & written) in required.
  • Knowledge and experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean-Six Sigma) as well as in project management.
  • Willingness to travel, when necessary.
