Consolidation Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an internationally active retail group, we are looking for reinforcement for the consolidation team in the Bern region. You will contribute to the group financial statements, work closely with the finance teams of the national subsidiaries and help shape the future process and system landscape. The role combines group accounting, finance systems and process optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Together with the team, you ensure timely and high-quality consolidation of the international group companies
You check, validate and analyse the reported financial data and clarify discrepancies directly with the local finance teams
You perform and monitor central consolidation steps: capital, liabilities, expenses and income consolidation, intercompany reconciliation, elimination of intercompany profits and currency translation
You prepare and analyse consolidation entries, evaluations and group reporting
You support the group balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, notes and other closing documents such as the management report
You work closely with the auditors as well as with accounting, controlling, tax, IT and SAP
You contribute to the further development of consolidation and reporting processes as well as the system landscape
Qualifications:
You have a higher education in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification
You bring professional experience in group accounting, finance and accounting or auditing
You are familiar with group accounting standards, understand the essential consolidation methods and are very confident with Excel
You communicate well in German and English, both written and spoken, and enjoy working in an international environment
Experience with consolidation software (ideally IBM Cognos Controller), SAP or SAP S/4HANA as well as understanding of ERP, data and interface topics is an advantage
