Role:
For demanding infrastructure projects in the urban environment, we are looking for an experienced individual as Overall Project Manager / Senior Site Manager. In this responsible client role, you will manage complex civil engineering projects primarily from detailed design through tendering and realisation to commissioning. You combine sound engineering knowledge with project management, negotiation skills and confident handling of various public and private stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Overall project management and client representation for demanding infrastructure and civil engineering projects
Management of projects especially in the phases of detailed design, tendering, site management and commissioning
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and operational project organisation
Leadership and coordination of engineering offices, site management, contractors and other project participants
Coordination of different utilities, departments, authorities and external stakeholders
Execution and management of tendering, bid evaluations and awards
Negotiation with internal and external project partners as well as development of viable solutions in complex interest situations
Support of legal and regulatory procedures related to the projects
Preparation of decision-making bases, reports and project applications for higher-level bodies
Participation in public information and project events
Promotion and application of modern digital planning and realisation methods, especially BIM
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer ETH/FH
Several years of professional experience in civil engineering and realisation of complex infrastructure projects
Solid experience in project management as well as in detailed design and site management or construction management
Experience with infrastructure projects in urban environments is an advantage
Knowledge in special civil engineering or trenchless construction methods is an advantage
Very good understanding of cost, schedule, quality and contract management
Experience with tendering, awarding and managing external planners and contractors
Assertiveness, conflict resolution skills and strong negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial, structured and solution-oriented working style
Confident appearance towards authorities, project partners and various interest groups
Interest in political and administrative decision-making processes
Experience with BIM and digital planning methods is an advantage
Fluent German in spoken and written form as well as strong communication skills
