The maternity ward at USZ is part of one of the largest perinatal centres in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. With around 2,400 births per year, you can expect a diverse and demanding work environment where you can apply your expertise and passion for midwifery every day.

Your Tasks
- Holistic care and support of women and their families during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period
- Independent management of physiological births as well as co-care of obstetric and medical risk and crisis situations
- Participation in preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic measures in a university environment
- Ensuring professional and patient-centred care
- Collaboration with the interprofessional team of doctors, nursing staff, and other specialist areas
- Active involvement in the further development of processes and standards in the maternity ward
- Support and guidance of midwifery students in daily work
Your Profile
- Completed training as a midwife BSc or FH
- Enjoyment in supporting families around childbirth
- High professional and social competence as well as a respectful attitude towards patients and relatives
- Ability to prioritise and maintain an overview even in demanding situations
- Enjoyment of working in an interprofessional team
- Independent, responsible, and solution-oriented working style
- Willingness to work shifts
