To complement its Legal Affairs department, ECAB is looking for a
Legal Officer
Within the Legal Affairs department, you contribute to the legal security of ECAB's activities. As a business partner, you support the various departments in their projects and activities while handling complex legal cases.
As a member of a small dynamic team, you work independently while fostering strong collaboration with your colleagues. Through your expertise, you help defend the interests of the Institution and ensure the compliance of its actions.
Your main tasks
- Handle claims independently, from case processing to drafting the decision.
- Act as a legal partner for certain departments and support them on legal issues related to their activities.
- Provide legal expertise to the Institution's various bodies and propose pragmatic solutions compliant with the legal framework.
- Participate in cross-functional projects by providing legal insight and analysing the impact of decisions.
- Manage assigned mandates independently and maintain contact with insured persons, representatives, authorities, and private insurers.
Your profile
- You hold a lawyer's certificate or a Master’s degree in law coupled with at least 3 years of professional experience in administrative law.
- You have an excellent command of the French language; knowledge of German is an asset.
- You possess excellent writing skills.
- You have excellent analytical and synthesis abilities and can critically assess assigned mandates.
- You are capable of collaborating with a variety of interlocutors.
- You can simplify complex legal concepts and adapt your communication to different audiences.

Our recruitment process
- Initial video conference (30 minutes) with the Head of Legal Affairs and a Human Resources representative.
- Personality and professional motivation questionnaire, to be completed online.
- In-person interview at ECAB, with the Head of Legal Affairs and a Human Resources representative (approximately 1h30).
- Practical exercise related to the role, followed by a debrief and discussion with the team (approximately 2h).
- Job offer and presentation of contractual conditions.
