Civil Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager Civil Engineering / Urban Drainage for demanding municipal and regional infrastructure projects in Eastern Switzerland. You plan and lead projects in civil and road construction, urban drainage, and infrastructure management from study to commissioning. In addition to technical and economic project responsibility, there is the opportunity to take on the technical leadership of a civil engineering team and actively shape its further development. Additionally, you will support public and private clients and contribute to project acquisition, tender preparation, and client development.

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning and management of demanding civil engineering, road construction, and urban drainage projects from study to commissioning

• Handling renovation, renewal, and maintenance measures for municipal and regional infrastructure facilities

• Planning and design of roads, sewers, drainage systems, and utility infrastructures

• Assuming responsibility for costs, schedules, quality, and resources as well as conducting structured project controlling

• Preparation of variant studies, technical reports, cost estimates, tender and submission documents

• Handling tasks in road and wastewater infrastructure management, especially condition assessments and long-term maintenance planning

• Coordination of clients, authorities, specialist planners, utility owners, and contractors

• Technical support for tendering, awarding, realisation, and commissioning as well as project-related support of site management

• Application of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as VSA guidelines in civil engineering and urban drainage

• Optional technical leadership of the civil engineering team, promotion of internal knowledge transfer, and support and development of employees

• Support of existing clients and customer relationships as well as assistance with project acquisition, offers, and winning new mandates

Qualifications:

• Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH/ETH (BSc or MSc) or a comparable recognised higher education qualification

• Several years of professional experience in project management in civil engineering, road construction and/or urban drainage

• Sound knowledge in planning, tendering, cost planning, and realisation of infrastructure projects

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as VSA guidelines

• Experience in road and/or wastewater infrastructure management is an advantage

• Experience in technical leadership of engineers and project staff or interest in a corresponding leadership role

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
