Serving the Community and playing a key role in mobility within the Vaud Riviera, the VMCV public transport company’s main mission is the operation of the region’s public transport network. Constantly evolving and supported by its 250 employees, the company faces current mobility challenges and makes an essential contribution to the economic, tourist and social development of the Riviera, while adopting an approach focused on agility and sustainability.

Following the departure of the current Director, the VMCV Board of Directors is looking for a

Director at 100%

Your mission

You lead the company, ensure its proper management and development. You deploy and implement its strategy in collaboration with the Board of Directors, define annual objectives, oversee operational management and guarantee the organisation’s financial health.

You actively contribute to the sustainable development of the company you represent to political authorities, shareholders, clients and partners. You support your teams in deploying the decarbonisation strategy and its systemic implications for the entire company.

Thanks to your entrepreneurial spirit, unifying leadership, subtle communication and interpersonal skills, you support managers and their teams by guiding their actions, giving meaning to their missions and taking into account the human, economic and social aspects of running the company.

This position requires several years of experience in a management role, preferably within a public service company, with a strong sensitivity to mobility and sustainability issues.Your profile

You have a higher education, ideally at master’s level, in public administration (Idheap) or in a technical, legal or economic field. You have several years of experience in a management role or with responsibilities for leading large teams.

Your strong customer orientation enables you to ensure the strategic, operational and human management of the company. You know how to interact appropriately with a variety of stakeholders; your transparent communication, collaborative personality and managerial skills allow you to embody a public service organisation and unite your teams around a common vision and values.

Sensitive to the current challenges of the mobility and sustainability sector, you have a genuine interest in public transport. Good knowledge of the issues in the Riviera region is an asset.
