In the Facility Services department of ETH Zurich, we create the optimal conditions for teaching, research and technology transfer. We maintain the buildings and ensure the energy and media supply as well as the technical and infrastructural building management of all rooms used by ETH Zurich.

For the Zurich location, we are looking to appoint a Head of Technical Building Management (TGM) in the Data Centre building area as soon as possible.
Job Description
In this role, you and your team will take responsibility for the technical building management in the Data Centre building area, comprising around 50 properties of ETH Zurich.
- You ensure the safe, economical and trouble-free operation of the building technology systems and are responsible for the planning, control and monitoring of maintenance and repair measures
- You coordinate internal specialists as well as external partner companies and ensure compliance with quality, safety and legal requirements
- In the case of conversions, renovations and technical renewals, you represent the operator’s interests from planning through to implementation, commissioning and acceptance
- Furthermore, you drive the continuous optimisation of processes, building technology and energy efficiency and ensure an up-to-date and complete system documentation using the CAFM system Planon
- You regularly take part in on-call duty and ensure a rapid and professional intervention in the event of faults or incidents
As a manager, you promote and support two specialists in their professional and personal development and create the conditions for successful collaboration.
Profile
- Completed basic training in building technology (HVAC, electrical, sanitation, control, energy)
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in the operation and maintenance of complex building technology systems
- Further training in facility management, maintenance or a comparable field at specialist certificate level or higher
- Sound knowledge in the operation, maintenance and optimisation of technical systems
- Strong sense of responsibility as well as an independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- High communication and team skills as well as enjoyment in working with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to regularly participate in on-call duty
- Very good German and good English skills
