For our client, an established non-profit organisation with a social commitment, we are looking for an experienced and strong leadership personality as Head of Logistics Eastern Region (m/f/d). In this responsible role, you will take over the operational management of the regional logistics, further develop your team and ensure efficient, safe and high-quality processes.
Head of Logistics Eastern Region (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- Ensuring the daily implementation and compliance with the defined logistics processes in the region
- Leading, developing and appreciatively supporting a diverse team of around 30 employees
- Organising daily briefings and control points to ensure quality, hygiene, safety and efficient processes
- Forward-looking planning of personnel resources on a monthly, weekly and daily basis
- Planning and coordinating routes as well as daily deployments
- Ensuring availability, maintenance and efficient use of vehicles
- Monitoring data quality in warehouse management as well as relevant KPIs
- Analysing key figures and deriving appropriate measures for process improvement
- Ensuring smooth information flow between the various responsible persons and teams
- Handling and clarifying complaints in the area of food quality
- Active participation in regional and national projects, especially in the areas of digitalisation and innovation
- Contributing to budget and investment planning
- Conducting regular visits to distribution points in the region
- Taking on special tasks and project assignments on behalf of the national logistics management
- Willingness to work occasional Saturdays per year for special events or operational business
Your profile
- Completed further training as a logistics specialist, logistics manager or comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally with responsibility for around 30 employees
- Strong leadership skills combined with empathy and an appreciative view of people
- High problem-solving competence as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
- Strategic thinking combined with implementation strength in daily operational business
- Enjoyment of change, digitalisation and the development of innovative solutions
- Independent, structured and responsible way of working
- Strong team and communication skills
- High quality, safety and sense of responsibility
- Willingness to actively further develop processes and implement improvements sustainably
- Identification with the values and mission of a non-profit organisation
