Construction Manager Building & Conversion (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF120,000 - 130,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Construction Manager Building / Conversion for the independent management of demanding construction projects in the Zurich area. You will take responsibility for the work preparation, site organisation, execution and billing of the assigned building, conversion and renovation projects. You will manage personnel, materials, machinery and subcontractors and ensure an economical implementation regarding costs, deadlines, quality and occupational safety. The position offers comprehensive responsibility for the entire construction process and is suitable for construction managers with solid experience in the main construction trade.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management of building, conversion and renovation projects from work preparation to project completion
Responsibility for work preparation including site setup, construction process, resource and deployment planning
Organisation and control of the execution as well as ensuring professional, timely and cost-effective construction management
Leadership and coordination of foremen, supervisors, site personnel, subcontractors and suppliers
Preparation and processing of offers, calculations and performance assessments for construction work and additional services
Responsibility for cost control, measurement, reporting and site billing
Identification, documentation and billing of claims, extra work and changes in performance
Coordination with clients, site management, architects and specialist planners as well as participation in construction and coordination meetings
Organisation and disposition of personnel, materials, machinery and inventory according to construction progress and schedule
Ongoing monitoring of productivity, construction quality, deadlines and profitability of the assigned sites
Ensuring compliance with applicable occupational safety, environmental and quality regulations on the construction sites
Qualifications:
Completed technical or craft training in the main construction trade
Training or further education as Construction Manager SBA, Construction Engineer FH/BSc, certified Master Builder or comparable qualification
Professional experience in construction management in building and/or conversion, ideally in the Swiss main construction trade
Solid knowledge in work preparation, construction execution, calculation, measurement and billing
Knowledge in cost control, reporting and claims management
Good user knowledge of common construction administration and Microsoft 365 applications
Very good German language skills spoken and written
