Accounting and Administration Manager at 80%
The CFJM – Centre for Training in Journalism and Media, based in Lausanne, is a foundation active in initial and continuing training in journalism as well as training for media and communication professionals.
To ensure the continuity of its financial, accounting and payroll management, CFJM is looking for an accountant at 80%. The position is aimed at an autonomous, curious, rigorous person comfortable in a small organisation.
The role goes beyond standard accounting: it also includes salaries, budgeting, reporting, cash flow monitoring, management tools and the link with training processes. These aspects correspond to the job description, which notably covers full accounting, financial management, the role of Odoo Key User, data protection and support to the Secretariat.
Your mission
Reporting to the Management, you ensure the financial, accounting and payroll management of CFJM. You provide reliable and useful financial information for the institution’s management.
You also contribute to the improvement of administrative and financial processes, the documentation of internal practices and the smooth operation of management tools.
Your responsibilities
Accounting, salaries and legal obligations
You are responsible for:
- the complete maintenance of accounting up to the annual closing;
- monitoring debtors, creditors, receipts and payments;
- the administrative management of salaries and payments to contributors using Crésus Salaires;
- the preparation of salary certificates as well as the corresponding social, fiscal and legal statements;
- preparing the tax declaration, closing, auditing and review;
- cash management and banking relations;
- accounting follow-up of the securities portfolio and financial investments;
Financial management and reporting
You also contribute to:
- budget preparation, liquidity monitoring and financial projections;
- producing dashboards, analyses and reports useful to Management, the Council Office and control bodies;
- analytical accounting and the annual activity report.
Management tools and processes
You participate in the functional monitoring of Odoo processes related to accounting, administration and training invoicing.
In this capacity, you contribute to:
- the coherence of the training management flow, from offer development to invoicing;
- the quality, coherence and reliability of data in management tools;
- the documentation and continuous improvement of processes;
- liaising with relevant external providers, in collaboration with Management.
Administrative support and confidentiality
You contribute to the smooth administrative functioning of the Secretariat according to service needs.
Within your role, you ensure the confidentiality of financial, salary, personal and administrative data. You also participate in internal best practices regarding data protection, filing, archiving and documentation.
Your profile
You have solid experience in full accounting and are comfortable with salaries, closings, social statements and budget monitoring.
You master Excel at an advanced level and are comfortable with digital tools. Experience with Odoo Accounting, Crésus Salaires and Tipee is an asset. Otherwise, you have a strong ability to handle ERPs and integrated management tools.
