To strengthen our Gemmology department, we are looking for a:

"Quality Controller Gemologist"

MAIN MISSION

Ensure the conformity, management and traceability of gemstones to meet the quality, production and stock requirements of the House.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality control of gemstones

o Check the conformity of gemstones according to standards and the quality specifications.
o Use gemmological control equipment.
o Analyse, sort and classify stones from production.
o Assess the need for re-cutting after setting.

Management of stone flows and stocks

o Monitor stones from receipt to storage or shipment.
o Control stocks, carry out inventories and ensure traceability.
o Prepare stone kits and assemble pairings according to production needs.
o Manage receipts, quality returns and associated IT tracking.
o Classify, evaluate and ensure traceability of certified stones.
o Communicate information related to materials and production priorities.
o Provide technical support to designers for material choice and colour harmonisation.
o Collaborate with external partners (laboratories, suppliers) and participate in technical meetings.

Support to management and continuous improvement

o Assist the head of gemmology in specific projects.
o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

YOUR PROFILE

• Diploma in Gemmology (GIA, HRD or other).
• Experience in quality control, sorting and classification of gemstones, in a watchmaking environment. (Min. 3 years’ experience)
• Mastery of identification and storage techniques
• Use of gemmological control and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of management and traceability IT tools.
• Rigour and attention to detail.
• Organisation and priority management.
• Team spirit, autonomy and sense of confidentiality.
