Automation Technician

Our client, a key player in rail transport in French-speaking Switzerland, is looking for an Automation Technician to strengthen its technical teams for a temporary 12-month assignment.

Within the production and maintenance teams, you will participate in the assembly, wiring and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment intended for rolling stock and railway installations.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Carry out the mechanical and electromechanical assembly of various equipment.
• Perform wiring of electrical cabinets, boxes and harnesses according to plans and electrical diagrams.
• Assemble and connect various electrical, electronic and electromechanical components.
• Check the conformity of the assemblies carried out.
• Perform functional tests before commissioning.
• Diagnose electrical faults and participate in preventive and corrective maintenance interventions.
• Replace and adjust electrical components.
• Ensure the quality of interventions in compliance with safety standards and internal procedures.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of assembly and maintenance methods.

Your profile

• Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as Automation Technician, Electromechanic, Automation Assembler or equivalent training.
• Experience in electrical assembly, industrial wiring or maintenance of technical equipment.
• Excellent reading of electrical diagrams.
• Good knowledge of industrial electricity and electromechanics.
• You are meticulous, autonomous and enjoy teamwork.
• You demonstrate rigour and attach great importance to the quality of your work.
