Role:
In this position, you develop and implement sophisticated automation solutions for industrial plants and accompany projects from software development to successful commissioning. You programme modern control systems, integrate intelligent components and ensure reliable plant operation through targeted analyses and optimisations. As a technical contact, you support internal teams, customers and service organisations and actively contribute to the further development of innovative automation concepts.
Responsibilities:
Development, programming and configuration of PLC controls for complex automation systems
Implementation of software solutions with platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff
Execution of tests, commissioning and acceptance of automation systems on site or via remote access
Integration and parameterisation of sensors, actuators and industrial interfaces
Analysis of technical faults, execution of fault diagnostics and provision of support services
Adaptation and further development of existing control and automation systems due to new requirements
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, circuit diagrams and operating instructions
Conducting training for plant operators as well as supporting service technicians with technical queries
Participation in demanding automation projects and shaping efficient system solutions
Qualifications:
Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable technical education
Solid experience in programming PLC systems and industrial control solutions
Knowledge of common development environments such as STEP 7, TIA Portal, Codesys or Rockwell Studio 5000
Experience with industrial fieldbus systems such as Profibus, Profinet or EtherCAT
Practical experience in fault analysis, system optimisation and technical commissioning
Knowledge in handling HMI/SCADA systems such as WinCC, Ignition or FactoryTalk
Experience with high-level languages such as Python, C++ or Java is an advantage
Strong hands-on mentality as well as a pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
Independent, structured working method and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
Good English skills spoken and written
Fluent German skills
