Architect as Project Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 115,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced Architect as Project Manager to work on a demanding public construction project in the Zurich area. The focus is on high-quality architecture, timber construction, sustainability, and building in and on existing structures. You will primarily accompany the project in the design and execution planning phases and coordinate the client, specialist planners, and other project participants. The position offers the opportunity to significantly shape a project that emerged from an architectural competition both creatively and technically.
Responsibilities:
Management and handling of a demanding public building project from design to execution planning
Further development of the award-winning competition project considering the defined architectural and spatial qualities
Preparation and coordination of preliminary design, construction design, approval procedures, and execution planning according to the relevant SIA service phases
Development of constructive and design solutions with a focus on timber construction, sustainable building, and building in existing structures
Creation and further development of project, detail, and execution plans with Archicad
Coordination and integration of plans from specialist planners and experts into the overall architectural planning
Coordination with clients, authorities, and external planning partners as well as preparation and conduct of project meetings
Ensuring planning quality, deadlines, and costs within your own area of responsibility
Handling demanding construction, materialisation, and detailing issues considering design, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability
Application of relevant SIA standards, building regulations, and quality standards as well as support with tendering and awarding topics
Qualifications:
Completed architecture studies at ETH, FH, or TU
Several years of professional experience in Switzerland in design and execution planning of demanding building projects
Solid knowledge of Swiss SIA service phases, standards, and building law framework conditions
Very good user skills in Archicad, especially for project and execution planning
Experience in coordinating specialist planners and working with professional clients
Expertise in timber construction, sustainable building, and/or building in existing structures is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
