Our client is an established SME on the eastern shore of Lake Neuchâtel. On their behalf, we are looking for a future:
Maintenance Technician – Machinery and Infrastructure
Responsibilities
Carrying out corrective maintenance work in the areas of electronics and mechanics as well as planned maintenance on mechanical processing machines, laser machines and surface treatment systems.
Conversion and optimisation of existing machines, for example by installing additional sensors and accessories.
Improvement of production machines through assembly, integration and testing of electrical and mechanical components.
Installation and testing of motors and axes, including NC compensations.
Monitoring machine displays and sensors using appropriate monitoring software and troubleshooting possible faults.
Understanding, creating and revising electrical, electronic and mechanical documentation, including assembly plans.
Creating and updating documentation for various machines and elements of building infrastructure.
Supporting the research and development department through active collaboration, possible assistance with design using Inventor or automation, as well as manufacturing mechanical or 3D-printed prototypes.
Contributing to the optimisation and continuous improvement of machine performance.
Position Requirements
Completed vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma or technician training as an automation technician or electrician, plus at least five years of professional experience.
Mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
Experience with NC controls, preferably FANUC and Beckhoff, is advantageous.
Methodical and analytical approach combined with a pronounced hands-on mentality.
Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity and high commitment as well as interest in new technological environments.
Open and direct communication skills at all hierarchical levels.
Positive and enthusiastic personality who motivates their environment with a strong "can-do" mentality.
Independent, goal-oriented and responsible working style.
Willingness to acquire the necessary knowledge and training for work on machines for which no FMEA has yet been defined.
Consideration of all necessary measures to protect one’s own health and the environment.
Commitment to comply with health and safety standards according to ISO 45001 as well as the applicable requirements of machine and/or product manufacturers.
Interest and willingness for close interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Good oral and written German skills. English skills are an advantage.
