Role:

In this role, you actively shape a secure digital future and contribute to technology creating tangible value for society. You are responsible for building, securely operating, and continuously developing modern network and security solutions. You analyse complex infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective security measures. Additionally, you accompany demanding projects from conception to implementation and ensure that high security and quality standards are met. Through your experience and commitment, you decisively influence how stable, secure, and future-proof the IT environment is designed.

Responsibilities:

• You operate and further develop modern security infrastructures focusing on firewalls, VPNs, and secure network access.

• You ensure stable and protected operation in heterogeneous multi-vendor environments and continuously optimise existing solutions.

• You analyse complex faults, conduct systematic root cause analyses, and ensure sustainable solutions.

• You support security incidents and technical escalations, contributing your expertise even in critical situations.

• You manage customers in the managed service environment, advise them on technical issues, and jointly develop their security landscape.

• You participate in customer projects and presales - from technical conception through evaluation of suitable technologies to implementation.

• You engage with topics such as secure web access, DNS, load balancing, or network segmentation and continuously develop your expertise.

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in network engineering, firewalling, or cyber security with solid practical experience in solutions such as Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto Networks.

• Certifications such as CCSE, CCSM, NSE 5, or PNCSE are a plus but not mandatory.

• Experience with managed security services and ideally knowledge of proxy, DNS, or load balancing technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL-based service processes and enjoyment of structured troubleshooting.

• Strong customer and service orientation as well as the ability to explain technical contexts clearly.

• Independent, reliable, and team-oriented working style with high communication skills.

• Very good German language skills and willingness for occasional on-call duties.
