For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of metal construction, façade construction and technical designs, we are looking for an independent and professionally strong personality as a Metal Construction Designer 80-100% (m/f).
In this role, you will handle diverse metal construction projects from technical clarification to construction ready for execution. You create precise plans, clarify details with internal and external parties, and ensure that projects are implemented technically clean, economically and on schedule.
- Designing doors, windows, façades, railings, stairs, canopies and steel construction components
- Developing detailed drawings, parts lists, material extracts and technical documents
- Technical clarifications with project management, production, assembly, architects, site management and suppliers
- Checking plans, measurements, technical specifications and customer-specific requirements
- Supporting measurements, material orders and work preparation
- Developing practical solutions for manufacturing and assembly
- Participating in optimisations of designs, processes and assembly solutions
- Ensuring clean documentation as well as compliance with quality, deadlines and standards
- Alternatively, training as a metalworker EFZ with experience or further training in design
- Experience in metal construction, façade construction, steel construction or technical planning is an advantage
- Good CAD skills, for example AutoCAD, HiCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or comparable programmes
- Confident reading and implementation of technical drawings, plans and details
- Good understanding of manufacturing, assembly, materials and technical feasibility
- Precise, structured and independent working style
- Solution-oriented personality with enthusiasm for technical details
- Strong communication skills in exchange with project management, workshop, assembly and external partners
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
