What you can contribute
- Lead the international cooperation projects of the FSO in Uzbekistan and Bangladesh
- Plan, manage and implement projects in the field of data and statistics
- Coordinate collaboration with national data and statistics offices, the SDC, international organisations and other partners
- Develop analyses, concepts and recommendations aimed at advancing data and statistics systems
- Engage and coordinate FSO experts in international projects
What makes you unique
- University degree (master's or equivalent), preferably in political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, law or a related field
- Several years of experience in project and programme management in an international context
- Knowledge of national and international data and statistics systems, interest in data governance, institutional development and international cooperation
- Excellent organisational, communication and conceptual skills
- Active knowledge of two official languages and very good knowledge of English

Within the framework of international cooperation, the Federal Statistical Office is committed to the development of sustainable data and statistics systems. The projects carried out in Uzbekistan and Bangladesh promote the exchange of experience, the strengthening of institutional capacities as well as the development of solutions in the fields of statistics, data governance and data management. Through its commitment, the FSO supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contributes in particular to strengthening data-based decision-making foundations for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These projects are funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) is the competence centre for public statistics and the main actor in the Swiss data ecosystem. It produces statistical information, works towards data harmonisation through national data management and develops processes derived from data science to advance data interpretation. The FSO thus contributes to shaping public opinion and makes an important contribution to modern democratic governance.
