Role:

An experienced professional with solid knowledge in international foreign trade is sought for the operational management of the export area. You will be responsible for demanding worldwide export transactions, especially dealing with goods subject to approval and export control, and support the team with complex issues. In addition to daily export processing, you will further develop existing processes and work closely with customers, authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Operational leadership and professional development of the export area

• Independent handling of worldwide export orders including the required customs and export formalities

• Review of export control regulations, sanction lists, and goods classifications

• Coordination with SECO, transport companies, importers, and international customers

• Preparation of export offers and advice on shipping options and export costs

• Procurement and verification of required export documents, permits, and certifications

• Support with import processing and international customs issues

• Optimisation of cross-border goods flows considering costs and VAT issues

• Documentation and further development of relevant export processes and country requirements

Qualifications:

• Further training as a foreign trade specialist with a federal certificate, foreign trade manager with a federal diploma, or comparable further training in international trade

• Several years of professional experience in export and foreign trade with leadership experience

• Sound knowledge of customs processing, export control, and international export processes

• Experience with goods requiring approval or dual-use goods and dealing with sanction regulations is an advantage

• Knowledge of import processing and cross-border VAT issues is an advantage

• Fluent German and good English skills; French is an advantage
