About the job
Approximately 50 employees currently work for our Medical Advisory Service, which is represented at the Lucerne, Vennes and Lugano sites. The Medical Advisor analyses and evaluates medical reports received from the care providers of our insured persons. Furthermore, they consider the usefulness, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of medical treatments to draft positions in the form of medical recommendations. They also act as an intermediary between patients, insured persons, care providers and CSS Health Insurance Ltd, particularly the invoice control teams.
Assistant in the Medical Advisory Service
Your mission
- You process and evaluate medical requests, whether simple or complex, with the help of your colleagues.
- After competently processing and evaluating the documents within the given deadlines, you formulate a recommendation based on medical aspects.
- In this regard, you take into account the legal criteria under the Health Insurance Act (LAMal), internal guidelines as well as framework conditions. The recommendations are forwarded to other insurer interfaces, in compliance with legal and internal provisions.
- In very complex cases, you consult the medical advisor for advice.
- In addition, you redirect correspondence related to requests and communicate independently with the authors of these requests (mainly service providers) as well as with CSS employees.
- Finally, you assist the medical advisory service in various projects.
What you bring
- You have completed medical training (nurse, medical assistant, pharmacy assistant, physiotherapist)
- You have several years of professional commercial experience, ideally in health insurance
- You perform precise and independent work, demonstrating a strong ability to take initiative
- You have a natural ability to assert yourself and show great resilience under pressure
- You possess good social skills and a trustworthy personality
- You have good IT skills as well as strong oral and written skills in French and good knowledge of German, which is desirable.
