As a Development Engineer Mechanical Engineering, you are primarily responsible for the innovative strength and further development of our technical core area. Your focus is on the optimisation, adaptation and new development of mechanical systems to ensure the highest functionality, efficiency and quality. You act as a technical interface between development, sales, purchasing, manufacturing and external partners and accompany projects from idea generation to implementation. Your expertise enables you to develop tailor-made solutions for specific customer requirements and actively contribute to the strategic further development of the product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for the further development and optimisation of our core technologies
Development of innovative design solutions considering cost, function and quality aspects
Modification and adaptation of systems according to customer-specific requirements
Accompanying the entire product development process, from conception to series maturity
Efficient management of technical implementation in collaboration with our subsidiary in India and external engineering service providers
Ensuring precise and efficient modelling and detailed design
Close coordination with internal departments (project management, purchasing, production, commissioning)
Supporting the sales team in defining and implementing innovative technical solutions
Practical testing and analysis of the systems through occasional on-site assignments in production
Identification and implementation of new technologies and design methods to improve product performance
Qualifications:
Completed studies in mechanical engineering (BSc/MSc) or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in the development and design of mechanical systems or plants
Deep technical understanding in mechanical and plant engineering
Experience in project management and high personal responsibility in technical implementation
Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
Excellent communication skills and team spirit
Solid CAD knowledge (ideally AutoCAD, Inventor or comparable systems)
Very good English skills, spoken and written
Willingness to travel internationally for short-term assignments (approx. 10%)
