Bergquellfisch Frutigen is an innovative Swiss company based in the Bernese Oberland. With the support of our owner Coop, we have succeeded in using the warm mountain spring water for the sustainable production of sturgeon as a food fish, Oona Caviar, and perch.
Bergquellfisch Frutigen is the first and only Swiss caviar producer. Under the brand Oona Caviar, we produce authentic Swiss caviar of the highest quality. Our Alpine caviar stands for freshness, transparency, and sustainability.
At our site in Frutigen, we operate eight separate fish farming recirculation systems, each with its own filtration and water treatment.
Our fish farming, fish processing, and building technology are at a very high technical level and require broad expertise or the willingness to acquire the knowledge.

Facility Technician (m/f/d)
Tasks
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all technical systems and facilities
- Maintenance, upkeep, and continuous improvement of the infrastructure
- Responsibility for operational safety as well as compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Organisation of cleaning, logistics, and waste management
- Supervision and maintenance of HVAC systems, vehicles, and fish farming technology
- Procurement of materials, machines, and operating resources
Requirements
- Technical basic training (e.g. agricultural machinery mechanic or equivalent)
- Experience in technical maintenance as well as in the procurement of equipment and machines
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Physically resilient, reliable, and team-oriented
- Understanding of controls and automation
- Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
- Strong technical understanding and practical implementation skills
- High sense of responsibility in the areas of safety, quality, and environment
- Commitment, initiative, and a proactive working approach
- Open, helpful, and professional demeanour
- Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain an overview
