Operational since 1 November 2024, the aim of the Brain and Mental Health Consultations at the HUG on the Campus Biotech is to provide care to patients receiving neurological and psychiatric follow-ups, in order to better understand disorders in these areas and develop new treatment strategies.
Patients will have access to clinical follow-ups through dedicated neuropsychologists and doctors (neurosurgeons, psychiatrists or neurologists), without needing to return to a hospital setting. Clinical pathways will be established by the respective neurology, psychiatry and neurosurgery teams for various pathologies, making optimal use of the technical infrastructure at Campus Biotech. Mobile patients will thus benefit from the unique setting of the CBT and will be seen by specialised clinical teams.
In terms of research, several teams will also be available to offer participation in translational research projects, to advance understanding of disorders such as fatigue and apathy, schizophrenia or motivational deficits, and pave the way for new treatment strategies tailored to patients. An additional asset will be the creation of a registry to better document and understand the targeted pathologies as well as the treatments applied, with standardised and high-quality data.
This initiative will personalise care for patients and strongly promote bilateral interaction and fruitful cooperation between clinicians and researchers to provide high-quality care and cutting-edge translational research.
As part of this role, you manage interactions between clinicians and researchers from various departments and institutions.
You organise and coordinate regular meetings to maintain interaction among members, present new projects and share project progress. You coordinate the efficient allocation of resources for clinical and research activities (staff and equipment).
You manage the assignment of patients to research projects and appropriate researchers (including coordination of junior research staff responsible for recruitment).
You participate in the regular updating of databases on research projects. You assist in establishing procedures and processes to ensure accurate testing and the integrity of clinical and research protocols.
You monitor the progress and status of projects to produce regular reports.
You ensure the smooth running of logistical and administrative activities (badge creation, access allocation, etc.).
Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree or equivalent and a certified project management training (a considerable asset).
You have proven experience in project management, as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
You possess strong abstraction and conceptualisation skills and are able to solve complex problems.
While having a good sense of organisation and priorities, you demonstrate responsiveness, autonomy, rigour and precision in your assigned tasks.
