On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader for the team leadership in construction management for building construction. You will be responsible for managing complex construction projects with investment volumes of around CHF 5 to 80 million and ensure professional project execution regarding costs, deadlines, quality, and organisation. In addition to operational project and construction management, you will take on the technical and personnel leadership of the team and further develop structures, resource planning, and digital construction management processes. The position combines demanding project management according to SIA with leadership responsibility and the strategic development of the department.
Responsibilities:
Technical and personnel leadership and development of the construction management team
Management of complex building construction projects with investment volumes of approx. CHF 5 to 80 million across relevant project phases
Overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, organisation, and project risks
Ensuring structured project execution according to SIA phases and Swiss building standards
Responsibility for tendering, submission, awarding, as well as contract and change order management
Leading planning, coordination, client, and project meetings and ensuring decision-making and action item management
Central interface to clients, architects, specialist planners, contractors, and authorities
Establishing and managing forward-looking resource and capacity planning for ongoing and future projects
Supporting and coaching employees in demanding project and construction management tasks
Use and further development of digital applications and processes in construction management
Cross-departmental coordination with internal departments and specialists
Participation in the strategic development and growth planning of construction management
Qualifications:
Technical construction training as draftsperson EFZ specialising in architecture, architect FH/ETH, civil engineer FH/ETH or comparable qualification
Further training as certified construction manager, technician HF construction planning or MAS Construction Management is an advantage
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction or project management of demanding building construction projects, preferably in Switzerland
Initial proven leadership experience as well as experience in resource and project organisation
Sound knowledge of SIA processes, tendering, awarding, and contract and change order management
Experience with cost, schedule, and quality management in medium to large construction projects
Very good German language skills; English and/or French skills are an advantage
