About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing primary care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For our intermediate ward, we are looking for a Dipl. Nurse HF from January 2027 or by arrangement.
Here you will become the central hub in the hospital. You will care for patients directly from the emergency department in our short-term unit, for observation or prior to definitive inpatient care. In doing so, you not only ensure treatment quality but also actively manage efficient patient flow.
Your focus is on the intermediate ward, but you remain flexible – supporting other nursing teams as needed and occasionally.

- Independent nursing and care of our patients from admission assessment to transfer
- Monitoring health status as well as early recognition and escalation of changes
- Planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing process according to our quality standards and guidelines
- Close interprofessional collaboration and active participation in the timely transfer of our patients
- Assuming shift or day responsibility and contributing to a smooth, highly efficient ward operation
What You Bring to Us
- Completed training as a Dipl. Nurse HF/FH or a foreign diploma with SRK recognition
- A quick grasp and the ability to prioritise and act confidently even in dynamic situations
