Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager Heating / Cooling for the planning and realisation of demanding building technology projects in the Zurich area. You will be responsible for projects of various sizes from the feasibility study and concept development through design and tendering to realisation and handover to the client. You will lead project teams, coordinate the technical interfaces with other building technology disciplines, and develop economical and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. The position combines technical project management, HVAC specialist coordination, client consulting, and modern digital planning methods.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of heating and cooling projects from study and conception to commissioning and handover
Development, dimensioning, and optimisation of heating, cooling generation, and heat distribution systems for demanding building projects
Handling of relevant SIA project phases including preliminary project, construction project, tendering, execution support, and completion
Creation of energy concepts, technical calculations, schematics, and system concepts considering energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Technical leadership of planners and junior project managers as well as coordination of external specialist planning and execution partners
Coordination of interfaces with ventilation, sanitary, electrical, building automation, architecture, and other specialist disciplines
Preparation of tenders, specifications, and offer comparisons as well as technical support during awarding
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and project controlling within the managed projects
Consulting and support of clients and principals on technical, energetic, and economic issues
Technical support of assembly, commissioning, acceptance, and quality assurance of heating and cooling systems
Use of CAD and digital planning tools as well as participation in the further development of efficient planning processes
Qualifications:
Education as certified building services engineer FH, certified technician HF building services or comparable qualification with a focus on heating/cooling
Several years of professional experience in planning and project management of heating and cooling systems
Solid expertise in heat generation, heat distribution, cooling technology, and hydraulic systems
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building technology standards as well as corresponding planning processes
Experience in tendering, cost planning, specialist coordination, and execution support
Good user knowledge of CAD systems and Microsoft 365
Very good German language skills spoken and written
