Role:
In this role, as a senior IT security specialist, you shape the further development of cyber and data security in complex environments, ensuring sustainable protection and effective risk minimisation. You design and implement security architectures, create well-founded security concepts, and lead security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses with clearly derived measures. You are also responsible for the operation, hardening, and further development of IT infrastructures and central services, as well as the targeted use of modern security solutions, including in the Microsoft 365 environment. Another focus is on planning and implementing demanding ICT projects with a focus on security and infrastructure. Furthermore, you provide technical advice and act as a sparring partner for clients by leading them professionally, managing expectations, and giving clear recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- You further develop cyber and data security solutions in customer and own environments to sustainably optimise protection and risks.
- In this role, you design and implement security architectures and security concepts according to common standards.
- You conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses and derive concrete security measures from them.
- As a senior IT security specialist, you operate, harden, and optimise IT infrastructures and central services such as Linux/Unix, Netscaler, Nextcloud, mail gateway, and web.
- You deploy security solutions in the Microsoft 365 environment and continuously develop them further.
- In this role, you plan and implement ICT projects with a focus on security and infrastructure and provide technical advice to customers in the area of security and architecture.
Qualifications:
- Completed training in computer science (system technology) or a comparable background
- Very solid know-how in network and cyber security (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.)
- Several years of experience in leading ICT projects with clear result responsibility
- Ability to plan, manage, and successfully complete projects in a structured manner
- Strong competence in managing customer expectations, leading professionally, and giving clear recommendations
- High reliability, independence, enjoyment of direct customer contact, and strong willingness to learn; German at native speaker level
