About the job

As a Feature Tester (m/f/d), you ensure that new functions and requirements are implemented correctly from a professional perspective and meet the defined acceptance criteria. You are responsible for the functional quality assurance of the implemented features within defined test cycles and accompany these throughout the entire testing process. In doing so, you work closely with specialist departments, development teams, and product owners, creating transparency about test progress, quality status, and identified risks. With your structured way of working and attention to detail, you make a decisive contribution to stable, high-quality solutions and successful end-to-end processes.

What you achieve

Professional testing & quality assurance

Ensuring that implemented requirements have been realised according to specification and meet the defined acceptance criteria

Taking responsibility for professional feature testing within defined test cycles

Assuming the professional end-to-end view of assigned interfaces between specialist applications

Identifying, analysing, and documenting deviations, errors, and quality risks

Ensuring high test coverage and traceability of test results

Test design & test execution

Creating, maintaining, and executing professional test cases in Jira/X-Ray

Preparing and creating suitable test data for test execution

Conducting functional tests based on defined standards and test specifications

Documenting test results and linking tests, features, and defects

Performing retests and professionally verifying implemented bug fixes

Analysis & collaboration

Coordinating requirements and acceptance criteria with specialist departments and development teams

Analysing error patterns and creating high-quality defect descriptions

Proactively tracking defects and timely escalating if progress is lacking

Reporting test status, quality trends, and test results to relevant stakeholders

Supporting customers and specialist departments in creating process-oriented end-to-end test cases

Close collaboration with professional testers, test managers, product owners, and product managers

Why you succeed

ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent certification

At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a functional tester in IT integration or platform renewal projects

Solid experience in functional testing and professional quality assurance

Confident use of Jira, X-Ray, Confluence, and Microsoft 365

Experience in creating, executing, and documenting test cases and test results

Knowledge of defect management and retesting of bug fixes

Experience in designing and supporting customer tests

Ideally, knowledge of social insurance or the public sector environment

High self-organisation as well as a structured and independent way of working

Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

French and/or Italian language skills are an advantage
