About the job
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at both national and international levels. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our 2025 retrospective by clicking here .
With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical centre focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-specific issues, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.
Located in the heart of a park on the Belle-Idée estate, the Trois-Chêne Hospital welcomes people whose health condition requires hospitalisation for geriatric care or rehabilitation treatments. The hospital has a state-of-the-art radiology unit, intermediate care, as well as an emergency service that can accommodate patients aged 75 and over, excluding life-threatening emergencies.
Your ease in human relations, empathy and diplomacy enable you to ensure and guarantee all patient transport services within the Trois-Chêne Hospital, always ensuring patient comfort and scrupulously respecting safety rules.
You are a motivated person and have good physical condition, as the position requires daily handling of patient transport, beds and auxiliary equipment. You will also be required to carry out transports to the site mortuary.
A keen sense of collaboration and a taste for teamwork are necessary to cover shifts within your team but also, in the near future, to take on the role of delegate for auxiliary equipment.
Qualifications
You have post-compulsory education (a Federal VET Diploma is an asset).
You have a good command of computer tools and the French language, both spoken and written.
Experience in the hospital field is an advantage.
If you are a rigorous person, open to change, with good organisational skills allowing you to handle several simultaneous demands while keeping a smile, able to work independently while appreciating collaboration in a multidisciplinary team, and ready to invest yourself with dynamism, do not hesitate
