Finance Projects & Controlling Specialist (80% – 100%)
Location: Bern area
Workload: 100% preferred (80% or 90% flexible possible)
Are you a proactive and versatile personality with solid knowledge in financial accounting and a great interest in learning new topics? Would you like to ideally combine operational accounting, modern controlling, and exciting project work? Then we are looking for you!
Your area of responsibilityIn this versatile role, you support the finance team at the interface between financial accounting, group controlling, and project management. Depending on the project situation and closing rhythm, your focus areas are flexible and varied:
General ledger accounting (approx. 20%): You support and represent recurring general ledger processes as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You handle postings, reconciliations, and accruals according to OR / Swiss GAAP FER and ensure data quality and documentation. You also assist with audits and process improvements.
Group controlling (approx. 30%): You participate in consolidations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes and prepare ad-hoc analyses as a basis for decision-making. Here you can gradually build and expand your controlling expertise.
Projects & PMO (approx. 50%): You independently take on finance-related projects or coordinate cross-departmental initiatives in the sense of a PMO. You plan work packages, track deadlines, prepare decision-making materials, and communicate directly with stakeholders.

Qualifications
What you bring
Education: Professional certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable advanced qualification.
Experience: At least 5 years of practical experience in financial accounting with a solid understanding of closing processes, accruals, and accounting (OR / Swiss GAAP FER).
Know-how & interest: Experience or strong interest in controlling, reporting, and budgeting topics as well as initial experience in project work or project coordination (e.g. as sub-project manager or PMO).
Languages: German at native level (at least C2) and good English skills (at least B1).
IT skills: Very good Excel skills; experience with ERP, consolidation, or BI tools is an advantage.
Personality: Hands-on mentality (willingness not only to manage tasks but also to tackle them operationally), pronounced curiosity, willingness to learn, and enjoyment of varied tasks.
