TILER
1. Preparatory work
Read and interpret plans, sketches and technical instructions.
Prepare the surfaces to be tiled (cleaning, removal of old coverings, levelling).
Check the strength, flatness and moisture of walls and floors.
Install protection on adjacent surfaces (furniture, sanitary fittings, skirting boards).
2. Laying coverings
Lay wall and floor tiles (porcelain stoneware, faience, mosaic, natural stone, etc.).
Cut tiles precisely using grinders, tile cutters or wet saws.
Carry out adhesive, mortar or pedestal installation, depending on the surface and product.
Install skirting boards, thresholds and technical elements (holes for drains, sockets…).
3. Joints and finishing
Make joints between tiles (joint mortar, silicone, epoxy depending on the material).
Clean and polish surfaces after laying.
Check the flatness, alignment and level of tiles.
Optionally lay decorative tiles or mosaics with precision.
4. Repairs and renovation
Remove and replace damaged or broken tiles.
Carry out levelling or corrections before laying.
Adapt the laying to existing constraints (corners, irregularities, sanitary installations).
5. General skills and safety
Be autonomous, organised and rigorous.
Work in coordination with other trades (plumbers, electricians, carpenters).
Manage your tools and materials (cutters, trowels, levels, glue, mortar).
Respect Swiss safety standards and PPE (gloves, goggles, knee pads, shoes)
