Role:
In this role as a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you will take on a versatile, demanding, and varied position with a high degree of personal responsibility. You will be responsible for ensuring precise, high-quality financial and accounting in an international corporate environment with a simultaneously familiar working atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- You ensure proper accounting for Carl Zeiss AG and Carl Zeiss Vision AG.
- In this role, you are responsible for asset accounting including reporting, investment planning, and inventories.
- As a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you manage the general ledger, leasing contracts according to IFRS 16, as well as the bank and treasury area.
- You ensure efficient travel expense management and coordinate tax and regulatory filings in cooperation with external partners.
- In this role, you participate in monthly and annual financial statements, act as an interface to shared service centres, and monitor payment and dunning processes.
- As a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you drive financial projects and process optimisations, take on SAP-FI coordination, and ensure deputising within the finance team.
Qualifications:
- You have completed training, ideally supplemented by further education in finance, or have at least five years of experience in finance and accounting (OR and IFRS).
- You quickly find your way in complex environments and organise your tasks efficiently.
- You possess a high IT affinity, very good Excel skills, and experience with SAP, ideally SAP HANA.
- You have strong organisational talent and a confident sense for numbers.
- You communicate fluently in German and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of French is an advantage.
- You work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner and convince through a consistently implementation-oriented, digital mindset.
