About the job
For our Advertising Operations team, we are looking for a numbers-savvy, strategically minded Yield & Pricing Manager (m/f/d). In this key role, you are the architect of our pricing and monetisation strategy and the crucial link between complex AdTech, commercial metrics, and executive management.
You take responsibility for managing and further developing digital monetisation across all sales channels.
Your goal: The implementation of a dynamic, data-driven pricing structure to uncompromisingly maximise total revenue and translate complex data streams into well-founded, management-ready decision templates.
What to expect:
Management Reporting & Strategic Insights: You are the "translator" between technology and business. You aggregate complex technical metrics (e.g. bid rates, discrepancies, match rates) and commercial data (eCPMs, fill rates) into clear, strategic insights and recommendations for management and C-level executives.
Strategic Pricing & Yield Management: You design, manage, and optimise the floor price architecture across all programmatic and direct booking channels. Through dynamic price adjustments, you maximise eCPM while maintaining a stable fill rate.
Revenue & Margin Optimisation: You continuously analyse the interplay between direct sales and programmatic marketing (SSP/DSP) to ensure the optimal price structure and the most profitable utilisation (yield strategy).
Pricing Interface & Partner Management: You are the main contact for external marketers, negotiate commercials/price models on an equal footing, and ensure that external partners strictly adhere to our pricing guidelines and revenue KPIs.
Data-Driven Price Analysis & Forecasting: You create dedicated pricing reports, forecasts, and dashboards. You identify undervaluations of our inventory, derive price elasticities, and develop concrete business cases for strategic investment decisions.
Ad Product Pricing & Integration: When launching new advertising products, you develop the appropriate commercial setup from the outset and ensure optimal price positioning within the programmatic ecosystem.
What we are looking for:
Experience: At least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in yield management, pricing, programmatic advertising or ad operations (preferably at a publisher, marketer, or SSP/DSP).
Translation & Analytical Skills: You possess the rare ability to link deep technical AdTech understanding with commercial business thinking. You do not get lost in data sets but can translate complex KPI structures (tech vs. commercial) into clear, management-ready business decisions.
Pricing & Tech Know-How: Deep understanding of pricing mechanisms in the programmatic ecosystem (OpenRTB, first-price auctions, header bidding, Prebid, Google Ad Manager) as well as experience in the commercial management of external partners.
Communication & Presentation Skills: You act confidently as an interface between product, tech, and leadership. You can explain complex matters understandably and convincingly to non-technical stakeholders – both in reports and negotiations.
Language Skills: Fluent German and very good English skills in spoken and written form. French is an add-on.
Benefits:
Five weeks’ holiday with the option of seven weeks and holiday purchase
Flexible working time models and mobile office options
Paid day off on your birthday
A market- and performance-oriented salary
Numerous discounts, e.g. mobile phone subscription, digital TV, bike rental, car purchase
Comprehensive free health promotion offerings (coaching, health coach app, flu vaccination, various training sessions)
Possibility of unpaid leave for up to six months
Additional half days off before certain public holidays
Employee referral bonus: up to CHF 2,000
Comprehensive training and further education offerings (leadership training, mentoring, development programmes, language courses, sales academy, self-competence, methodological competence, project management, change management and much more)
Free digital subscriptions as well as discounted print offers
