Head of Purchasing (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF97,500 - 110,500Our client is a traditional Swiss company with extensive expertise in the procurement, processing, and distribution of technical products. The company supplies customers from various industrial and commercial sectors and combines a broad range of products with individual services. Modern infrastructure, reliable delivery processes, and a high level of service orientation form the basis of the company’s success.
Role:
In this key position, you will lead the procurement team and be responsible for the operational and strategic management of purchasing activities.
You monitor market and price developments, manage inventories and suppliers, and ensure high availability together with sales, production, and logistics. At the same time, you continuously develop supplier relationships, processes, and key performance indicators in purchasing.
Responsibilities:
You lead the procurement team both professionally and personally
You manage order quantities, procurement timings, and stock levels
You conduct price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers
You evaluate and further develop the supplier portfolio
You analyse procurement markets, price trends, and supply risks
You coordinate closely with sales, production, and logistics
You optimise processes, master data, and purchasing key figures
Qualifications:
You have advanced training as a purchasing manager with a federal diploma, purchasing specialist with a federal certificate, certified business economist HF, or a comparable qualification in purchasing, procurement, or business administration.
You bring several years of purchasing and leadership experience in an industrial, commercial, or production environment
You have experience in international purchasing
You have a good understanding of price developments, procurement markets, and supply chain risks
You are confident in handling Incoterms, customs, and import processing
You communicate fluently in German and English and work in a structured and entrepreneurial manner
