For the committed leadership and strategic further development of our clinic, we are looking for a motivated and professionally competent leader as Senior Physician Geriatrics as soon as possible.
The Winterthur Cantonal Hospital (KSW) is one of the ten largest hospitals in Switzerland and ensures medical care in the greater Winterthur area with around 4,000 employees. Our Clinic for Acute Geriatrics offers highly specialised geriatric medicine and covers a broad, future-oriented spectrum: acute geriatrics, memory clinic, geriatric traumatology and long-term care.
In the course of the continuous expansion of our geriatric centre functions, we are looking for a strong and empathetic leader who wishes to actively contribute their professional expertise and commitment and help shape the further development of geriatric medicine at KSW, starting immediately or by arrangement.
This is who we are
Your tasks
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients on the acute geriatric ward and in the geriatric trauma centre of KSW.
- Consultation hours in the Memory Clinic with appropriate prior experience.
- Conducting inpatient consultations at KSW.
- Treatment of residents in the Oberi and Adlergarten elderly centres of the city of Winterthur as part of the medical on-call service.
- Deputising for the chief physician during their absence.
- Professional support, supervision and promotion of senior physicians and assistant physicians, including teaching and further training.
- Active participation in the qualitative and strategic further development of the geriatric treatment services.
- Assumption of overarching organisational tasks.
- Promotion of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Commitment to teaching, training, quality assurance and network maintenance.
Your profile
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine (with foreign diploma and MEBEKO recognition).
- Specialist title in Geriatrics.
- Several years of experience in a senior or leadership role.
- Responsible and assertive personality with a strong quality mindset, pronounced teamwork skills and a desire to shape.
- High social competence, strong communication skills and empathetic interaction with older people and their relatives.
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and the further development of acute geriatrics.
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written.
