About the job
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the Geneva University Hospitals are a reference institution at both national and international levels. To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to view our 2025 retrospective by clicking here.
The Human Resources Directorate has the primary mission of ensuring the development of the institution's human capital in view of organisational evolution. It constantly seeks to innovate, challenge and improve its practices while basing its strategy on the positive experience of employees. The HR policy of the HUG is based on the development of skills and career paths in line with institutional needs and focuses on consideration of the individual, work-life balance, and health and safety at work.
Composed of a team of HR specialists, the Talent and Leadership Service is tasked with attracting, recruiting and retaining talent while supporting the development of HR processes and policies. It offers innovative recruitment processes, leadership development programmes, managerial training, and career management programmes at both individual and institutional levels.
Within the Talent and Leadership Service and following an internal evolution, you will join a team of 7 people responsible for cross-functional recruitment activities. In this evolving team, you will have various responsibilities related to attractiveness and recruitment, and you will contribute to the development of the HR roadmap priorities.
You provide full support to the five HR recruitment specialists for all recruitment mandates under their responsibility. During the pre-selection phase, you ensure the qualitative analysis of applications received for cross-functional and high-volume campaigns as well as for more specific mandates. You follow the different stages of the recruitment process, including interview scheduling, management of assessment exercises, and responding to applications. In parallel, you respond to all unsolicited applications received by paper or email.
Furthermore, you manage the entire summer replacement process, representing more than 1,000 applications during the summer period. In your role, you ensure the publication of the advertisement, evaluation and orientation of applications, then the contractual management of all recruited persons up to the drafting of work certificates. You occasionally supervise a team of 4 people dedicated to this process.
You participate in organising recruitment events such as recruitment campaigns, assessment exercises and professional fairs, and regularly contribute to service projects.
Periodically, you establish indicators related to your activity. You are comfortable with the regular use of Excel for pivot tables, tracking tables, mail merges, etc.
You demonstrate excellent service skills with internal clients and maintain quality contact with candidates, managers and HR teams by identifying solutions that meet needs while ensuring compliance with institutional recruitment policy and best practices.
Supporting your colleague Recruitment Assistant, you are a point of contact for HR teams, managing requests for more than 1,000 job advertisement publications per year from departments and directorates. You ensure their publication with editorial quality that promotes attractiveness and compliance with institutional practices. You also advise internal teams on writing advertisements. Managing the various recruitment channels used at HUG (Job Boards, LinkedIn, specialised press) is part of your responsibilities as a deputy. In this capacity, you analyse specific publication requests and undertake the associated procedures.
As a pair, you provide support to users of the ATS SmartRecruiters, you may conduct training on platform use and provide assistance to HR service members, resolving issues to ensure optimal use of the tool.
We offer a collaborative and stimulating environment, an active team, and participation in ambitious HR projects.
