The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (KJPP) of the PUK is responsible for child and adolescent psychiatric care throughout the canton of Zurich. The regional offices provide the entire outpatient child and adolescent psychiatric diagnostics, counselling and therapy for the population in the area of responsibility. Centralised emergency care takes place at our location at Lenggstrasse 31 in Zurich.
We are looking for a (fixed-term for 2 years) for our emergency service from 1 November 2026
Night Doctor (Assistant Physician)

Your Tasks
- Psychiatric-clinical care of children and adolescents during the night shift
- Conducting emergency psychiatric assessments including anamnesis, psychopathological findings and clinical evaluation
- Assessment and treatment of acute psychiatric crises in outpatient and inpatient patients
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing, psychologists and other specialist disciplines
- Management of electronic duty rosters and documentation of treatments
- Structured handover of relevant information to the day shift
Your Profile
- Completed medical studies (for foreign diplomas: recognition by MEBEKO required)
- Interest or experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy or paediatrics desirable
- High clinical competence and decisiveness in emergency situations
- Independent, responsible and structured way of working
- Resilience and reliability during night shifts
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
