Senior General Accountant (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF90,000 - 105,000Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an internationally active company in the fields of IT, transport/logistics and defence industry with over 30 employees at the Zurich location, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Senior General Accountant. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely in a collaborative finance environment with operational teams, group finance, the shared service centre in Portugal, purchasing, tax advisors and auditors. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that financial information is accurate, reliable and compliant.
Responsibilities:
You take responsibility for the accuracy and reliability of postings as well as the monthly closing tasks
You contribute to compliance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP, including preparation, monitoring and validation of statutory and consolidated financial statements
You work closely with the shared service centre and purchasing to ensure an efficient procure-to-pay process and timely payments
You coordinate the company’s tax activities and requirements with the tax advisor
You support the preparation of group reporting packages and provide reliable financial information to management
You participate in monitoring financial performance and analysing budget variances
You identify risks, opportunities and possible misstatements, recommend appropriate corrective actions and escalate important issues when necessary
Qualifications:
You have around 3-4 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with broad responsibility in general accounting
You hold the Swiss Federal Certificate in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent qualification
You possess solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards as well as good knowledge of IFRS and international accounting principles
You have practical experience with monthly closings, financial reporting and accounting controls
You have an understanding of tax activities and experience working with external tax advisors and auditors
You communicate fluently in German and English and demonstrate strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills
