Financial Accounting Manager - Zug (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role as Accounting Manager, you are responsible for building, further developing, and systematically implementing accounting processes in a dynamic retail environment. You contribute your expertise in retail accounting as well as your planning and organisational skills to support the global retail organisation and ensure timely, accurate financial reports. With your attention to detail, you continuously optimise workflows and actively shape processes. Responsibilities:
You ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process
You review and approve journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and variance analyses
You prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and processes
You supervise and support the employees in accounts payable and general accounting professionally and are responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger accounts
You support the annual budgeting process as well as regular forecasting processes
You identify optimisation opportunities in corporate accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of new software solutions
You assist the Director Finance & Accounting with various projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in finance/accounting or a comparable professional qualification with relevant further training
You bring at least 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting/finance, including experience in developing accounting policies and processes; experience in the retail environment as well as with international companies and cross-border transactions is an advantage
You have very good Excel skills; experience with NetSuite is an advantage
You are characterised by a strong attention to detail as well as an independent and responsible working style
You communicate fluently in German and English
